This nice open-segment turned piece comes to us from Alvis Garretson. It was turned from a piece of Acacia, or should I say from several pieces. Acacia, also known as Shittim wood, has a biblical history. Alvis displayed information from a website complete with scripture references about it being used to construct the Ark of the Covenant. The wood is beautiful; the workmanship very good; and the historical aspect adds to this really nice piece. |
