The AWA meets at 9 AM on the second Saturday of every month at the Homewood Senior Center, 816 Oak Grove Road, Homewood, AL 35209. Directions - from I65 take Oxmoor exit (256) go west until the road splits - take the left portion of Oxmoor Road go about 2 blocks and turn left on Oak Grove Road. The senior center will be 1 1/2 blocks on the right. It is a new building slightly off the road. MAP
Most meetings involve the exchange of ideas and give the members an opportunity to show their work. Demonstrators from far and near show us new techniques and methods. Periodically the club organizes 'hands-on' classes for beginners and experts.
Come along and join us one Saturday and see what woodturning is all about.
